Well, the journey has not been smooth , so many ups and downs.
A lot of political differences, the boko harams, the economic downturn, decay in education, moral decay etc
Whew!!!!
But it in all,we are making progress.
"A thousand Journey starts with a step".
We all have a part to play...
I was invited to a wonderful school, to commemorate the Independence day Celebration.
One thing about this school is, they are doing things different from the conventional way.
They simply make Learning Fun.
Education should be fun, not boring and always strict.
It brings out the best in every student.
It harnesses their creativity and gives them an edge in academic excellence.
I can gladly tell you, that this school is simply the best.
How I wish I can go back in time, take this school's idea and give it to the Proprietor of all the school I attended.
They actually did an exceptional activity today.
I was fascinated and amazed.
They Celebrated the Southern part of Nigeria.
Its culture, values, its foods, prominent Nigerians, and their Peculiarities.
I Can tell you, I learnt a lot.
Can you imagine going to an occasion with book and pen, instead of enjoying the show alone?
(Smiles).
I heard different type of food I haven't heard before.
That's quite amazing.
Sometimes I wonder why our fast foods and most restaurants don't cook these dishes.
They are Quite healthy.
If I start listing things I learnt and saw in this Event, it may turn out to be a Book.
(laughs).....
Tribes Celebrated by this wonderful school are:
The Ogonis,
The Beni's,
The kalabaris,
The Itsekiri's
And A Touch in some other Southern tribes.
I can sincerely tell you, I don't know much about these tribes.
And here is a school teaching me through fun!
